Simple Magic Tricks

If you are just starting out with magic, learning the simple magic tricks makes the most sense because they are the easiest and quickest to master.

So finding the simple magic tricks is the next hurdle...where do you look to find them. There are several options open to you where they are readily available but the best source by far in finding simple magic tricks is the internet.

No only will you be exposed to all kinds of simple magic tricks and information on how to perform them, but you also will come across lots of more difficult magic tricks also.

So now you have your pick of the easy and the difficult but common sense tells you it is best to start with the simple magic tricks and then work your way up to the more difficult ones; or even alternate back and forth between the two...use some simple ones and then use a more difficult one or two.

Doing this type of progression is a good way to get your audience tuned in to what you are doing and they are now paying attention. So give them a little dose of the simple magic tricks to start, like making your gloves disappear or making a handkerchief pop up into you hand when you need it, and then producing a flower out of nowhere to give to someone in the crowd.

Now that you have taken the audience down the proper road and prepared them for the fact that you can actually do some magic tricks, they are ready to see you perform. In there unconscious minds you have now established yourself as someone to reckon with as a performer.

Another reason for having simple magic tricks in your act is that they can act as filler while you need to buy some time to set up a more difficult trick. This way the audience stays tuned in to what you are doing and doesn't lose interest and start to wander mentally; they will be ready when you are able to start the new more difficult trick.

The last thing you need when you are performing in front of a crowd is to lose their interest and attention, so to keep all eyes on you at all times and their minds on what you are doing, you need to inject a few simple magic tricks in between other tricks to keep the flow going.

But don't fall into the trap of thinking that simple magic tricks can be done at a moment's notice and don't need much to pull them off...quite the contrary. They still need to be practiced all the time so you retain your ability to do them well and without a problem and in that way, you will always be ready to entertain your audience no matter what.
